Jeffrey
Paul Burger
is a true Renaissance man—artist,
photographer, musician/composer, author, programmer and producer.
Media production and consulting clients have included Apple
Computer, Random House, Hitachi, Pepsi and
British Telecom. He is also the author of three major books
on technology in the arts—including the critically acclaimed
“The Desktop Multimedia Bible”
(Addison-Wesley) and over 500 magazine articles on related subjects.
Burger has also served in editorial capacities with seminal industry
magazines including New Media,
Electronic Musician and
EQ, and has taught media arts in extension classes
for UCLA, Stanford and San
Francisco State University.
In 1990, Burger was invited to create and exhibit a piece of installation
art for the first CyberArts International
Festival in Los Angeles, for which he created “Baby
Boom”, the germinating idea behind his Meta-Art
project. Artistically,
his visual art passion since then has been taking unusual artistic
photographs wherever he travels and digitally manipulating this
now 10,000-plus image library by
hand into abstract and surreal art that he renders in large-format
limited-edition giclèes. His Meta-Art
project combines his formidable skills and experience with the
latest technology to make a bold
and unique statement in the art world.
